The narrator, a teacher in Harlem, has escaped the ghetto, creating a stable and secure life for himself despite the destructive pressures that he sees destroying so many young blacks. He sees African American adolescents discovering the limits placed on them by a racist society at the very moment when they are discovering their abilities. He tells the story of his relationship with his younger brother, Sonny. That relationship has moved through phases of separation and return. After their parents’ deaths, he tried and failed to be a father to Sonny. For a while, he believed that Sonny had succumbed to the destructive influences of Harlem life. Finally, however, they achieved a reconciliation in which the narrator came to understand the value and the importance of Sonny’s need to be a jazz pianist. The story opens with a crisis in their relationship. The narrator reads in the newspaper that Sonny was taken into custody in a drug raid. He learns that Sonny is addicted to heroin and that he will be sent to a treatment facility to be â€Å"cured.† Unable to believe that his gentle and quiet brother could have so abused himself, the narrator cannot reopen communication with Sonny until a second crisis occurs, the death of his daughter from polio. When Sonny is released, the narrator brings him to live with his family. The middle section of the story is a flashback. Ottoman rule in Egypt ended in 1882 after the British stepped in to end a revolt against the Ottomans. They then occupied the area until 1922, when the United Kingdom declared Egypt independent. During World War II, the U.K. used Egypt as an operations base. Social instability began in 1952 when three different political forces began to clash over control of the region as well as the Suez Canal. In July 1952, the Egyptian government was overthrown. On June 19, 1953, Egypt was declared a republic with Lt. Col. Gamal Abdel Nasser as its leader. Nasser controlled Egypt until his death in 1970, at which time President Anwar el-Sadat was elected. In 1973, Egypt entered a war with Israel and in 1978 the two countries signed the Camp David Accords, which later led to a peace treaty between them. In 1981, Sadat was assassinated and Hosni Mubarak was elected as president shortly thereafter. However, the recent changes in the cost of the entry and exit from the airline industry have encouraged many enterprises to enter into the business of the airline industry. Due to several new companies entering the airline markets, the level of competition have increased significantly that has resulted in decreased in price of the air tickets. The recent agreement between the American and European Airlines have the potential to provide better quality service to the international passengers and also boost the economic performance of the US airline department. The government of US has a strong duty to ensure that there is high level of security that is maintained in every airport. Moreover, it is also the duty of every flight companies to ensure that they check the performance level of every aircrafts, which will help to eliminate the risks that are associated with every flight journey. Conclusion The US airline industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of its type in the whole world. Due to increase fuel and labor cost, the industry has to face tough challenges to make profit. Several of the new companies are entering the US airline industry to use the opportunity that exists in the current scenario. The recent economic performance has shown that the US aviation industry has been able to show improved performance as more passengers prefer air travel. It is also the duty of the aviation department of the US government to ensure that there is a healthy competitive environment in the airline industry and no organization can introduce the system of monopoly make profits in unethical ways.
